Maria Jose Olivera and Ismael Martinez are a renowned and experienced dance couple from La Rioja in Argentina. We know them from the project Online Folk and are happy to finally learn from them in person.

Maria Jose and Ismael have gathered numerous achievements. They are winners of both Precosquin and Festival Nacional de la Zamba in 2000. They are participants and teachers of participants of many regional and national competitions.

They work with Ballet de la municipalidad de La Rioja. And finally they are teaching all over Argentina with project "Pañuelos con aires riojanos",
working together with many important musicians, dancers and representants of folklore.

Vueltita is a small vuelta :)

And "vuelta" is a return, a loop and one of the main figures in Argentine dances

Our dream is to bring together people who are passionate about Argentine folklore. The idea of a workshop weekend in Switzerland (which might grow into a festival in the future) first arose in 2020, but was postponed and finally comes to realisation. The organisation team are the founding members of the association adentro.ch

A workshop weekend, where the european folk community for argentine dances and music comes together. Learn, exchange, dance and make music together. Invited well renowned teachers from Argentina. Argentine musicians from Europe. Two days, many workshops and a peña with live music.

Leah

super networker

Leah loves to dance folklore - deep diving into Zamba at the moment -, enjoys to discover and listen to folklore music and plays the violin. She is fascinated by the folklore spirit of "compartir" and loves to connect (with) people. Leah has a special bond to La Rioja and is one quarter Tucumanita.
